The role

Joining a passionate and hardworking team within the Street Lighting of Asset management services. You will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of lighting and electrical capital programs.

The ideal candidate will

  • Oversee the planning and execution of maintenance, repair, and upgrade projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and budgetary constraints.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans, policies, and procedures to ensure the effective management and maintenance of the street lighting network.
  • Lead and supervise a team of street lighting technicians and contractors, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to coordinate street lighting activities with other infrastructure projects and initiatives.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the street lighting network, implementing data-driven strategies to optimize energy efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall operational effectiveness.

About you

You will be comfortable working independently and collaboratively and be capable of allocating your time effectively.

Ideally, you will be able to tick of most of the below:

  • Proven experience in street lighting management, including project planning, design, installation, and maintenance.
  • Manage the staff and ensuring and reviewing compliance with health and safety regulations and council policies
  • In-depth knowledge of street lighting technologies, including LED lighting systems, lighting control systems, and smart city concepts.
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders, including residents, informed through digital platforms like the website and social media
  • Desire to research emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in street lighting to propose innovative solutions and improvements.
