This client is a private company responsible for managing, maintaining, and improving the A13 road in London, a major route connecting Central London to areas in East London and Essex. They hold a long-term contract to provide road management services, ensuring that the A13 road remains in good condition and meets safety and operational standards.
As the new Reactive Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing immediate response actions needed to keep the road network safe, functional, and well-maintained.
Your day to day will vary but not be limited to
Coordinating urgent repairs by identifying critical repair needs, such as fixing potholes, damaged signage, guardrails, and any structural road issues that arise unexpectedly.
Manage all aspects if planned maintenance by liaising with contractors, and maintenance crews.
Oversee the planned maintenance budget and report back with the traffic management team.
Monitor the condition of highways assets to promote the longevity of preventative maintenance planning and reactive measures.
The Reactive Supervisor would benefit from a combination of technical, leadership, and interpersonal characteristics. Prioritizing road downtime is at the forefront to improve road safety and encourage the confidence of road management services.
You will be able to:
Excellent communication skills and quick decision and to coordinate multiple contractors.
Previous highways reactive supervisor experience to
Strong technical knowledge on understanding road infrastructure, maintenance procedures and relevant regulations to diagnose problems and solutions.
UK drivers’ licence
Desired - SSSTS or SMSTS holder
Strong understanding of NRSW
