Alongside ensure that the network is safe for the public and with minimal congestion.

Your new role

The successful Network Manager will be an indispensable part of the Network Control Room for the local contract and for all the clients term maintenance contracts being the first point of contact for the emergency response calls from various organisations. Alongside ensure that the network is safe for the public and with minimal congestion.

The NCC Operator will be responsible for:

  • Monitor via CCTV planned works for safety and congestion proactively managing traffic hotspots on the network

  • Follow HUB Escalation Process for all emergencies on the Network and coordinate emergency response

  • Carry out vehicle tracking

  • Receive/make phone calls from/to supply chain, including but not exclusive of TfL, Highway Inspectors, RJ Staff, 3rd Parties

  • Use our client’s and our internal asset management systems to complete admin, work ordering and auditing functions

  • Responsible for monitoring security at Bow depot via CCTV

  • Provide and validate backup data for Service Performance Indicators.

  • Delivery of works within tight deadlines

  • General administrative duties

  • Carry out other duties consistent with the above that may be directed or implied from time to time as required commensurate to the post

About you

Due to the nature of the role the successful Network manger will be able to effectively prioritise workloads with the ability to remain calm under pressure.

The ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Control room experience (preferred)

  • Come from a highways background (preferred)

  • Ability to evaluate and deconstruct ICT file information 

  • Proficient use in GIS software – Particularly MapInfo Professional,

  • Proficient in the use of other software packages e.g. MS Office etc.,

  • Ability to coordinate and collaborate with other team members

  • Ability to show continual improvement in the role and to the wider organisation

  • Ability to communicate effectively within all mediums
