They provide highways civil engineering term contracts for both public and private sectors and are currently working on a project regenerating a major East London street with the goal to improve connectivity for residents and transform it into a thriving hub for the community

Your new role

Due to continued growth, they are looking to on board a Senior Quantity Surveyor. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll manage the commercial resources of assigned projects and provide commercial expertise to contracts including valuation submissions, budgets, subcontract management, change control and work stream performance data. You will:

  • Be involved with subcontract procurement and package management
  • Run contract administration both with the Project Manager and with the supply chain
  • Support MQS in producing value cost reconciliation reports
  • Agree applications for payment and processing payments
  • Produce and maintain risk registers
  • Raise and respond to Early Warning Notices & Compensation Events and closing these out through agreement

About you 

On offer is a challenging and rewarding role for someone who can demonstrate core technical acumen and has experience in the area of Highway and Public Realm.

  • Degree qualified with surveying experience within the utilities industry and NEC3 framework experience with a solid understanding of the Alliance Contract delivery.
  • Strong commercial awareness, with understanding of budgeting, cost control, risk mitigation and business targets and reporting requirements.
  • Ability to work within a team and ensure business commercial requirements are delivered at both project and business unit level
