This integrated service provider is responsible for the maintenance and services of a significant number of UK highways and footpaths. Working as private sector partners, they seek to positively impact the local communities in which they operate. Their community focus is an essential aspect of their work, which drives their success in delivering maintenance, severe weather operations, surfacing, specialist treatments, and incident response on the UK’s highways that they cover, all whilst maintaining sustainable practices.

The role

As a Senior Design Engineer, you will be exposed to all elements of the business from project and client management, through to technical delivery working across the design teams. Owing to a robust pipeline of projects, they are looking for an ambitious engineer to join the team. You will be encouraged to grow your career in a way that suits you, whether that is making the best of your skills in a role you enjoy or developing new skills as you progress with the company.

In short you will

  • Assist the delivery team to ensure project work is technically correct
  • Manage projects in accordance with Client requirements
  • Provide support to junior team members to produce exceptionally high-quality outputs
  • Work with final accounts and targets

About you

Alongside a willingness to join the team and get stuck in, the successful Senior Design Engineer will be provided with the opportunity for continuous growth and learning.   • Previous experience in highways design
  • Detailed and logical approach to solutions
  • Experience taking leadership on projects
  • Strong CAD skills
  • Degree Qualified, Civil Engineering equivalent
  • Knowledge of SAP and Papyrus (desirable)
  • Proven ability to deliver to time and budget
