In addition to highways maintenance, they cover network management, emergency response services, and traffic management. The role

Due to continued growth and a number of exciting new projects underway, this company is looking to onboard a contract Health and Safety Advisor. Joining a passionate and hardworking team, you will be expected to investigate opportunities to introduce improvements and identify appropriate innovations to achieve this. 

 

In short you will

-    Ensure that health and safety objectives are fully embedded into the project
-    Provide visible active support and advice to the contract
-    Carry out site inspections and auditing health and safety against the Health and Safety Management to ensure compliance with the requirements of the Safety Management Systems and recommend any corrective actions
-    Liaise with Environmental and Quality auditors to ensure health and safety is integrated with environmental compliance and assurance
-    Supporting and managing external audits, as well as providing corrective actions and closeout of audit findings

 

About you

You will be joining a close knit, hardworking team who are excellent at what they do, and you will need to be comfortable working in a team environment and have finely tuned multi-tasking skills. Some essentials included below:
-    Demonstrate an engaging and thorough approach to health and safety
-    Proven experience working on civil engineering / highways projects
-    An eagerness to learn and develop the role
