The role

There is an opening for an experienced, capable, and knowledgeable Water Engineer to join in either their London, Bath or Leeds office. This position will see you promoting technical innovation, and high-quality production within the Water Group of the Cities division. Including the following
•    Supporting the team's performance to ensure successful project delivery.
•    Working on Water discipline projects for the group, both in the UK and internationally and building, sustaining and maintaining productive client relationships.
•    Taking responsibility for the engineering solutions on multiple projects across the group.

About you

•    Knowledge of closed pipe modelling and detailed design of potable water, recycled water and wastewater networks.
•    Experience of hydraulic design including calibration of models, surge analysis and pump selection.
•    Detailed knowledge of surface water modelling, drainage design and flood risk assessments.
•    Skilled in water supply studies, demand forecasting and water resource management, including asset management.
•    Familiar with recycled water schemes and irrigation schemes.
•    Familiar with water infrastructure related legislation, design standards and regulations, in the UK and Middle East.
•    International project experience, particularly in the Middle East, is considered an advantage.
•    Experience of pipe burst calculations and impact assessment.
•    Familiar with water quality modelling, treatment and SuDS drainage.
•     Knowledge of desalination processes and experience in strategic desalination plant design.
•    Knowledge of earthworks, road design and civil infrastructure.
•    Site experience including site support, quality management and site safety.
•    Experience of assisting with cost estimation exercises.
•    Strong report writing and presenting capabilities.
•    Prior experience in design co-ordination and project management, with client facing skills.
•    Experienced in relevant software packages: AutoCAD, EPAnet, WaterCAD, Infoworks, MUSIC, H2Omap, XP-RAFTS,
•    HEC-RAS and DRAINS

You also must be working towards chartered status with the Institution of Civil Engineers or another, mutually recognised, technical engineering Institute/Institution.
