The role

In this role, you will play a crucial leadership role in the planning, design, and implementation of major highway projects. Your expertise and guidance will be essential in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to our clients' transportation challenges.

The ideal candidate will

  • Lead the design and development of highway infrastructure projects, including roads, bridges, interchanges, and associated systems.
  • Lead a team of engineers and technical staff in the planning and execution of highway engineering projects.
  • Take responsibility for the overall project management, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
  • Apply your extensive knowledge of industry standards and best practices to ensure compliance and high-quality deliverables.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, government agencies, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to junior staff members, fostering their professional development.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery.

About you

We are seeking a professional that is an experienced Principal Highways Engineer, with the skills to thrive in a small and dynamic team.

Ideally you will tick most of the below

  • Extensive experience in highway engineering, including design, project management, and leadership roles.
  • Proficiency in industry software and tools, such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Civil 3D, and traffic engineering software.
  • In-depth knowledge of relevant engineering principles, standards, and regulations, with a focus on highway design and transportation planning.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary team.
