The ideal candidate will:
Assist the Project Manager with all aspects of project planning, scheduling, and coordination.
Monitor project progress and identify and address potential risks and issues proactively.
Manage project budgets and cost controls, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, meeting minutes, and progress updates.
Facilitate communication and collaboration between all project stakeholders.
Liaise with contractors and consultants to ensure adherence to project specifications and safety regulations
As an Assistant Project Manager in Highways, you will play a vital role in supporting the successful delivery of highway construction and improvement projects. You will work closely with the Project Manager, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Ideally you will tick most of the below
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Proven experience working in a similar role in highway construction projects with a solid understanding of construction principles, practices, and techniques related to highway infrastructure.
Strong people skills to collaborate and foster stakeholder relationships.
Experienced managing a project throughout the project cycle monitoring the budget and time constraints.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing project challenges.
